I/We agree to abide by the club’s constitution and bylaws and acknowledge that Saugeen Golf Club, for purposes reasonably associated with its operations as a golf and dining facility, may from time to time disclose and distribute to its members, golf organizations, and other members of the public, the information provided herein, and I/We hereby consent to such uses of this information. Upon payment of the fees referred to in this document, the party or parties are entitled to the use of the facilities for which prescribed payment has been accepted by Saugeen Golf Club. The facilities may be used in accordance with the rules and regulations as determined from time to time by the Board of Directors. Saugeen Golf Club may revoke or suspend the privileges granted for breach of rules and regulations as illustrated in our Code of Conduct Policy. Upon being made and accepted, there shall be no refund or rebate save as set forth in the By-Laws of Saugeen Golf Club. Unless the applicant is a holder of a certificate as provided in the By-Laws, no voting privileges are acquired upon payment of the fees for the use of the facilities. All members will be required to have an account and either a credit card on file or a $300 deposit on account.
Code of Conduct Policy
Saugeen Golf Club is committed to providing a respectful, welcoming, inclusive and safe recreational environment for our members, guests and staff. Our goal is to ensure behaviors exhibited while on the premises that respect the rights of all. It is the responsibility of everyone to abide by the Code of Conduct in order to foster a healthy culture aligned with the core values of Saugeen Golf Club. Membership Responsibilities By applying for and accepting membership at Saugeen Golf Club, every member is agreeing to the following:
1. To respect and adhere to Saugeen Golf Course Code of Conduct, governance by-laws/policies and all local, provincial and federal laws.
2. To welcome new members and guests with respect, friendliness and support.
3. To act as an ambassador for Saugeen Golf Club while at the golf club and while representing SGC at club sanctioned events. Standards and Expectations of Player Conduct All members and guests, whether playing golf or using other amenities, are expected to abide fully by the Code of Conduct while on premises. To meet the standards and expectations of the Code of Conduct, all members and guests shall:
1. Behave in a manner that is reflective of the personal integrity and respect governed by the Rules of Golf where it is written that we are responsible for enforcing rules upon ourselves with honesty, integrity and good sportsmanship.
2. Act in a manner free of discrimination or any form of harassing behaviour to fellow golfers, visitors or staff. This includes, but is not limited to sexual harassment, sexual assault, verbal abuse/assault, physical harassment and abuse and indecent exposure.
3. Respectfully use the golf course, amenities and facilities and repair any damage caused by play (ball marks, divot, etc.).
4. Abide by all local, provincial and national laws and regulations.
5. Comply with the dress code of Saugeen Golf Club.
6. Respect the game of golf, by adhering to general and local rules while demonstrating the principles of golf etiquette with other players.
7. Consume alcohol and all other legal substances responsibly.
8. Refrain from bringing outside alcohol, illegal or banned substances onto the property.
9. Report incidents in a timely manner to management that are believed to be in non-compliance with the code of conduct, club policies and local, provincial and federal legislation.
Members and Guests who are found to be in violation of the Code of Conduct may be subject to disciplinary actions as determined by Management. The extent of punishment will be advised and governed by the guidelines of the Discipline Policy.
